2-10 Library Place

Canro Ltd. wished to refurbish 2-10 Library Place to form modern, fit for purpose office space.

The brief was to create a truly open plan space for prospective tenants, thus the redevelopment of the existing building necessitate the demolition of all the loading bearing cross-walls within the building.

Working closely with the main Contractor, Rok Construction, we undertook a detailed investigation of the existing building determining how the structure of the original building performed in order to design the replacement structure.

Using careful design, internal walls were replaced with 3 lines of structural framing, sited around the perimeter of the building, producing the open-plan spacing set out in the initial brief.
